B2B lifehacks: how to sell your software to small businesses

Reaching small companies globally to sell your software can be easier than you expect. The B2B sales strategy below works well if your target audience is brick and mortar firms: hotels, restaurants (HoReCa) hairdressers, gyms (Beauty and sport), online and offline schools (E-learning, Education), various events organizers (Events), and even local food stores (grocery). But not only.

I tested this strategy on two companies successfully, one business was related to online communication platform for schools, another business was a SaaS loyalty platform for restaurants.

So, back to business: facebook collects plenty small ventures on a platform. These small companies make their profiles and facebook pages to find b2c buyers or organize proper customer communication.

Facebook company page is ideal, GDPR worry free way to reach these companies and discuss your services.

Looks strange? Maybe.

But keep in mind, that FB page is a tool designed to help unknown people from the street to write to the company without any limits, ask about services or leave feedback on the company itself. And most often, you can reach the decision maker: owner or executive. In a restaurant facebook page is most probably controlled by the administrator, or in best case by the owner (who wants to monitor feedback from customers).

Facebook search is also convenient to build location based prospecting list of companies, so you can easily get a list of restaurants in Los Angeles or list of beauty salons in Dubai.

Another advantage is that facebook will not restrict your account for this strategy till you behave carefully and do not send spam. I did not find the limit in volume of daily communication, but of course it exists. The facebook page owners do not see much information about you, as far as the platform does not provide any demographic data on particular user and your personal data (privacy settings) is protected by the platform.

Given that this is a b2b strategy — it is time consuming. The strategy will work good for getting first users for the newly created software and for product validation researches. It can be a part of marketing researches when you need to identify the new target niche or get immediate feedback from next industry.

The most important part of success here is a right communication scenario and winning narratives. If you communicate smart in chats, I am sure you will succeed in getting new fast sales conversations over this channel. People will talk to you and most likely will take your offers for review (if your offers are appropriate for their business). I was managed to get real payments on the second day of such campaign communication.

If you were interested in this channel, leave your inquiry on my website and I will develop the successful narratives and communication strategy for your particular business
